ABACUS Counselling, Training and Supervision Ltd, an NZQA registered Trainer, is offering a training workshop in Dunedin. The session is 3.5 hours in length and attendance fulfils your training requirements for both Class 3 (TAB) & Class 4 (gaming machines) gambling harm minimisation.

Training is funded by the NZ Racing Board and your Trust. This assists each venue to meet their obligations under both the Gambling Act (for those with gaming machines) and the Racing Act (for those with TABs); in addition to any requirements of the regulator, the Department of Internal Affairs. Each session covers your obligations for TABs, gaming and DIA.

Under the Gambling (Harm Prevention and Minimisation) Regulations, the Venue Manager and sufficient other personnel must be trained, to ensure there is always a trained person present when the venue is open.

Racing (Harm Prevention and Minimisation) Regulations require each employee involved in supervising racing/sports betting to be trained, at the venue. This includes Agencies, Sub-agencies, Self-service outlets and On-course facilities.

Please contact Abacus to secure a place for the management and staff members that you elect to attend the training session.

Note: A certificate of attendance will be provided for each trained participant
